As with every Bethesda game, Oblivion has many bugs plaguing the game even many years after release.

When you arrive in the Bastion, wait a few seconds for the birthsign/class menus. However, keep in mind that if you leave the bastion before the birthsign/class menus then they wont pop up until later in the game if you are thrown in the prison. When you arrive in the Bastion you will get the birthsign/class menus. When escaping the Imperial Prison after killing the Emperor you will go up through the Bastion.

NOTE: I have encountered a minor problem when I went through the alternate start a couple times. A basic walkthrough will be included inside the read me.

I mean, let’s face it, the main quest doesn’t exactly earn you any infamy… On the other hand, killing the Emperor also gives you an immediate invitation to the Dark Brotherhood if you feel like doing those quests. I thought this was a good outcome to this alternate start. Finally the last thing that this mod will do is make it impossible to do the Main Quest, unless you cheat to get the Amulet of Kings. You’ll just have to play the mod and find out. Just a warning beforehand, this mod completely by passes the tutorial and the birthsign/class menus, however I also included a way for you to get the birthsign and class.

I don’t want to give away too much so I’ll just say that you end up getting a weapon and are later given the chance to kill the Emperor with that weapon when the blades are busy fighting with the Mythic Dawn.

However, at the end of this dialogue two more options pop up consecutively, the first asking if you can tag along through the passage and the second asking for a weapon. Essentially this is how the mod works, when the Emperor comes into your cell at the beginning of the game you’ll have to go through all the original dialogue with Uriel.
